Plant group comprising one of the largest families of flowering plants. Formerly referred to as Graminae.

Genus: Bouteloua   Grama
Genus of about 40 to 50 species of annual or perennial forage grasses native to North, Central, and South America. Bouteloua derives its name from Claudio Boutelou, a Spaniard botanist. Tribe Eragrosteae.

Scientific Name: Bouteloua curtipendula (Michx.) Torr.
Common Name(s): Sideoats Grama, Tall Grama Grass
